Measles+Rubella Combined Vaccine

This is the new combined Measles and Rubella vaccine.

Vaccination Schedule: This vaccine is normally given at age 12 months of age and a booster at age 3 years 4 months.

Early Vaccination Schedule: The HPA has issued some guidelines for vaccinating children aged less than 12 months which may be recommended if you are living in or travelling to an area where measles is particularly prevalent.  It is possible to vaccinate at age 9 months, followed by a booster at age 12 months and then a further booster at age 15 months.

Although your child has other routine vaccinations at age 12 months, it is still recommended to continue with the MR-Vac or combined MMR vaccines at this time.

Measles and Rubella vaccine can be used to provide occupational cover and is suitable for adults.
