Skype Consultations over the phone/tablet/device for when getting to the surgery is not recommended or possible.
Our doctors offer HD video consultations, listening to your concerns and coming up with a plan, just as if you were sitting next to us in the surgery.
Some things are not suitable for Skype Video Consultations and our receptionists will do their best to book you the most appropriate appointment. Similarly if the doctor feels you need to be examined, we’ll recommend you attend surgery – don’t worry, we wont charge you again and we’ll have a slot available on the same day for you!
At the end of the consultation we can provide you with a prescription if necessary and we’ll arrange to fax this to a local pharmacy of your choice or you can collect from surgery if you prefer.
If the technology doesn’t work for us we’ll come up with another solution – it’ll probably mean reverting to a telephone consultation – the doctor will call you on the pre-agreed number we hold for you – you’ll fill this out, together with your Skype User Name on the Skype Registration Form we ask you to complete (see link below).
In order to prepare for your Skype GP Consultation with our doctor you must send us your Skype Name so that the doctor can call you at your appointment time. Follow the steps below:
