Video Consultations

Video Consultations over the phone/tablet/device for when getting to the surgery is not recommended or possible.

Our doctors offer HD video consultations, listening to your concerns and coming up with a plan, just as if you were sitting next to us in the surgery.

Some things are not suitable for Video Consultations and our receptionists will do their best to book you the most appropriate appointment. Similarly if the doctor feels you need to be examined, we’ll recommend you attend surgery – don’t worry, we won’t charge you again and we’ll have a slot available on the same day for you!

At the end of the consultation we can provide you with a prescription if necessary and we’ll arrange to send this to a local pharmacy of your choice or you can collect from surgery if you prefer.

If the technology doesn’t work for us we’ll come up with another solution – it’ll probably mean reverting to a telephone consultation – the doctor will call you on the pre-agreed number we hold for you.

How to prepare for your Video Consultation

 

In order to prepare for your Video GP Consultation with our doctor, please follow the steps below:

Zoom and Teams software are  free.

1. Book your Video Consultation appointment first via our online booking portal.

2. Download and Install Zoom or Teams to your device – Smartphone/Tablet/Laptop etc.

3. Our reception team will contact you to confirm your booking and set up the call for your appointment time via your preferred platform.

4. The doctor will call you at your appointment time. Please arrange to have a good signal/ Wi-Fi, adequate privacy and good battery life to successfully take part in the video consultation.
